Gastric LightGuide Stomach Tube
The Gastric LightGuide is a 36 Ch PVC dual lumen tube.
One lumen contains an optical fiber, the other can be used to check for a leak with fluid (contrast) or air, depending on the surgeon’s procedure, or to aspirate the contents.
A fiber optic running the entire length of the tube illuminates the oral cavity and throat for safe and correct insertion into the esophagus and stomach.
The Gastric Light Guide provides the surgeon with improved visibility through the X-ray of the stomach wall, reducing the risk of postoperative complications and complications.
- made of medical-grade PVC with a hardness of approx. 76° ShA
- two-channel – one suction channel and one for placing the optical fiber in a sealed manner that prevents contact with the administered fluid contrast administration during bariatric surgery – lighting allows to avoid cutting or sewing the tube with staples
- single-use, sterile, sterilized in ethylene oxide
- for use with dedicated light sources
